Dr Lara Benoiton

Otolaryngologist, Head and Neck Surgeon, Health NZ - Canterbury, NZ

Dr Lara Benoiton is an Otolaryngologist, Head and Neck (ORL) surgeon with a particular interest in paediatric otolaryngology and otology.

After completing her medical degree at the University of Otago in 2010, she undertook ORL surgical training in New Zealand, completing her training and becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2023. She subsequently undertook a paediatric ORL fellowship at Starship Children’s Hospital, Te Toka Tumai Auckland, which she completed in 2024. She then returned to Christchurch, where she works as an ORL Surgeon at Christchurch Public Hospital, Te Whatu Ora Waitaha Canterbury.
 
Lara has published in a number of areas, including paediatric otolaryngology and otology. She is passionate about providing high-quality, whānau-centred care for her patients. She also enjoys contributing to teaching at the University of Otago Medical School and supporting the ongoing education and training of surgical trainees.​
