Dr Amanda Richards is a dual fellowship-trained Laryngologist and Head and Neck Surgeon based in Melbourne, Australia, whose clinical expertise spans professional voice, laryngeal surgery, voice-preserving cancer surgery, chronic cough, and complex airway stenosis. She holds consultant appointments at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and in private practice at Pinnacle Surgery.
Dr Richards leads the Voice and Upper Airway Clinics at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and co-founded its Australian first multidisciplinary Neurolaryngology service. She is a Principal Investigator at the University of Melbourne NHMRC Centre for Research Excellence examining mechanisms in chronic cough, contributing to a national and international interdisciplinary research team. Dr Richards is the immediate past President of the Laryngology Society of Australasia and a former President of the Australian Voice Association. A committed educator, she trains ENT surgeons in minimally invasive laryngology and champions techniques that have transformed the standard of care in the field. |
