Kate is a New Zealand-trained clinical dietitian with nearly two decades of experience in medical and surgical nutrition care. Since beginning her career in 2006 at Auckland City Hospital, she has developed expertise across a wide range of specialties, including oncology, haematology, bone marrow transplant, and renal disease.
Her passion for oncology nutrition led her to The Cancer Centre at The Harley Street Clinic in London, where she provided advanced nutrition support to patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and complex surgeries. Kate’s approach is grounded in empathy and evidence-based practice, helping individuals navigate the challenges of cancer treatment with practical strategies that reduce nutrition-related symptoms and enhance both outcomes and quality of life. In 2013, Kate returned to New Zealand and settled in Hawke’s Bay, where she lives on a deer, sheep, and beef farm. Kate has continued to specialise in Oncology with a particular interest in Head and Neck Cancer nutrition support in a multidisciplinary team setting in both public and private health sectors.
