Sarah Barnett is the Clinical Nurse Specialist for the Otolaryngology Outpatient department at Te Whatu Ora Waikato. My career within ENT  has been varied as a perioperative theatre nurse, here and at Te Whatu Ora Southern – Dunedin. I have also spent many years working within the Practice Development Unit as a nurse educator. My CNS role supports and provides patient assessments within rhinology, laryngology and paediatric perioperative care pathways. This role supports the reduction of patient wait times.
